ARA Fuel Oil Stocks Show September Increase

Fuel oil stock levels within the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) trading hub have shown an upward trend in the first half of September. Data indicates that independently held fuel oil inventories in the region averaged 15% higher compared to the monthly average recorded in August.

This rise translates to an increase of approximately 680,000 barrels. The total average for fuel oil stocks in the ARA region reached 5.30 million barrels during the period under review.

In contrast to the fuel oil trend, gasoil stock levels in the ARA region remained largely stable. These inventories averaged 12.08 million barrels, showing minimal change from the August monthly average.

The ARA region is a significant hub for oil product storage and distribution, influencing supply dynamics across Northwest Europe and beyond. Monitoring stock movements in this area provides insights into regional supply and demand balances for various refined products.
